Full-Time/Part-Time: Part Time
The Upward Bound Program is looking for teachers to teach grade level and advance courses in High School Geometry-Pre-Calculus, English, Computer Skills Chemistry and Biology. Teachers will attend weekly meetings, provide classroom instruction, will receive tutorial assistance and develop and implement IEPs for participants. Teachers will submit a lesson plan and weekly grades.
Bachelor’s degree in related subject area and/or teaching certification. Minimum of two years teaching experience. Experience working in related education and or other programs for youth from low-income/disadvantaged backgrounds. Extensive knowledge and sensitivity toward problems of minority and disadvantaged students.
A teaching certification in area to be taught and a master’s degree. Knowledge of and/or experience in TRiO programs desired or teaching experience with students from disadvantaged background a plus.
