The Ambulatory Infusion Nurses perform a variety of Non-Chemo Infusions for adult and pediatric population. Excellent IV skills and ability to access both chest and arm ports and PICC lines necessary. Excellent communication skills needed. Computer charting and knowledge of IV medications important. Administration of antibiotics, blood products, transplant medications, and Monoclonal antibodies. Requires multi-tasking and critical thinking skills to prioritize patient needs.
Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree preferred. Specialty certification preferred but may be obtained after experience requirements met. License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Current California RN license, BCLS, ACLS and PALS required Experience: Prefer two years of recent Acute Care Nursing experience. Prior Infusion nursing experience would be a plus but not mandatory. Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written English, basic computer navigation skills. Must be competent in phlebotomy, IV starting. Knowledge of other access devices such as ports and PICC lines necessary. Physical Demands:
