Reporting to the Lead Solutions Architect, the Integration Specialist develops and implements solutions coordinating applications across the enterprise and with business units by evaluating existing components or systems to determine integration requirements to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs. This critical member of the Administrative Technology Services team will own the planning, coordination and hands-on development of data integrations processes between various software platforms. This is a hands-on technical position requiring experience across the full development cycle, with a focus on system integration. This role will be a part of a highly collaborative Administrative Technology Services team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, and maintain processes to integrate data and applications in a hybrid integration environment.
Gather and analyze data from business units to determine integration needs.
Develop work plans and process specifications as they relate to systems integration work tasks.
Draft technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other systems integration related documents.
Collaborate with various team members such as management, administration, and support staff on a regular basis.
Develop and conduct testing plans and procedures at the process and system level.
Provide client with post-installation and integration support.
Create and maintain integration environment map and the business processes affected by integration efforts.
Self motivated and highly engaged.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience migrating old integrations and creating new integrations.
Knowledge of IT Service Management best practice (e.g. ITIL).
Higher Education experience a plus.
Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
Knowledge of Jitterbit preferred.
Knowledge of Snaplogic and/or Mulesoft a plus.
Workday experience a plus.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats with both technical and business staff.
Bachelors in computer science, information technology, or related field.
5+ years experience with middleware platforms.
3+ years experience with data mapping and data integration development.
3+ years of related programming experience such as SOAP, API’s, file transfers protocols, data transformation.
Experience in an object-oriented language (C, C++, C#, VB, Java).
