Involves managing or performing the administrative services or managing the full general operations of an academic or non-academic organization(s). Administrative services includes activities in finance and human resources and may also include IT, facilities, or student services. General management includes long and short range strategic planning in determining the mission and directing all activities of multi-disciplinary departments through subordinate management staff.
The Office of the Campus Counsel is responsible for representing the campus on all legal matters. The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and analytical support, coordinating activities and workflow, acting as a liaison on behalf of the Office of Campus Counsel, and working on special projects, as outlined below. The incumbent must work in an environment that requires a high level of confidentiality. There is a heavy work load, with pressing deadlines and shifting priorities, requiring that work be done promptly and with a high degree of accuracy. The ability to adapt to constantly shifting priorities, strict and sometimes competing deadlines and unexpected urgent situations is critical.
Qualifications include: - Related professional level administrative/analytical experience sufficient to utilize resources effectively to achieve maximum benefit for the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong self-motivation skills in order to independently identify and resolve a variety of administrative, organizational, and communication issues under stringent and frequently shifting deadlines.
- Ability to adapt quickly to workload, practices and procedures Counsel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with diverse groups and individuals at various levels within the organization.
