Starting Salary Range: $44,600-$55,000/annually. Salary commensurate w/qualifications and experience.

Involves the processing and servicing of a variety of operational, personnel, and financial transactions and services. Includes cashiering, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, recharge billing, travel / entertainment, gift accounting, collections, data collection and data entry, analysis, review and control, customer servicing, and reporting.
Under supervision of the Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) Sales Office Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the TAPS Sales Office and Kiosk, including fiscal and records management, cash and inventory control, and supervision and training of personnel. Incumbent is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling and supervising 4-6 sales staff, ensuring all UC and TAPS policies and procedures are followed, and selling permits or products as needed. The Assistant Manager ensures adequate supplies and inventory, efficient operations and functioning equipment, and clear policy interpretation for both staff and customers? All with a strong focus on excellent customer service. Also ensures regular audits of transactions, inventory, and payment types and prepares daily revenue deposits. Duties include overseeing collection and deposit of revenue.
Transportation and Parking Services supports the University mission of academics, research and public service by providing and managing access to UC Santa Cruz and overseeing the planning, design and operation of the facilities and programs associated with parking, transit services, and bicycle/pedestrian circulation.
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Basic working knowledge of financial transactions and financial systems.
- Proficiency in use of spreadsheet software and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, ability to multi-task effectively in a high volume environment, organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
