Posting Summary: The University of Virginia's Center for Diabetes Technology is seeking a Senior PrIMeD Research Program Officer to lead the administrative operations of the Precision Individualized Medicine for Diabetes (PrIMeD) Program. The Senior PrIMeD Research Program Officer will assist in the establishment of an administrative infrastructure for the Program and the Center and provide general management of the Program's fiscal, research, and administrative activities. In addition, the Program Officer will provide support to the Center Director in creating a vision for and implementation of strategic program development; help formulate program strategies and goals, assist with long-term planning, and develop policies and procedures; serve as a principal liaison between the Program, University leadership, and outside entities to establish the associations necessary to enhance the PrIMeD Program as a worldwide leader in the field of Diabetes.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience. If no degree, applicants must have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience working in research or general administration. An Advanced degree may count towards 2 years of relevant experience.
This position is restricted and contingent upon the continuation of funding.
