This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Office Specialist 2 position for the College of Education at Oregon State University (OSU).
The Office Specialist 2 performs office work that may include varying amounts of record and document processing, file maintenance, volume word processing, mail handling, public contact and information dissemination, record keeping and licensure, student file tracking and maintenance.
The College is Education (COEd) is the designated authority for all teacher and counselor licensure programs at OSU, including collaboration with other OSU administrative units. Additionally, COEd offers baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degree involving both on-campus and distance education.

This position, as with all positions within the College of Education, is directly responsible to advance the mission of
the College. This position provides excellent customer service. This position provides administrative and general support for administration, faculty, staff, students, and others in the College of Education as described in the position responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty):
Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR An Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience. College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Researching, accessing and retrieving information from the internet.
Communicating by E-mail.
Microsoft Windows, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Accurately query, research and data enter information into spreadsheets and databases.
Candidate must also possess organizational skills, an attention to detail, and the demonstrated ability to be an effective team member.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
