UWC has an outstanding opportunity for an Enrollment Coach.
The Enrollment Coach is a member of the recruitment team housed within our UW Professional & Continuing Education (UWPCE) unit. This role will manage the student experience throughout the admissions process, from the point at which a prospective student becomes a lead through to when they apply to a certificate program and enroll in a course.
This position will ensure each prospective student has the information they need to understand if a UWPCE program is a good fit for their individual educational goals, and motivate prospective students to complete the tasks necessary to apply and enroll. This position is partially responsible for driving enrollment and revenue that allows UWPCE to continue to grow, scale, and empower more students to pursue the work they love. An ideal candidate has expertise in recruitment, communication, and customer service.
Proactively manage and respond to a high volume of prospective student inquiries efficiently.
Exercise active listening skills to assist prospective students in matching their educational objectives and professional/personal goals with programs offered by UWPCE.
Use basic persuasion techniques in a discussion or presentation to motivate and drive enrollment (ex: appeals to reason, uses data and examples, visual aids, demonstrations, explains consequences and implications).
Build and cultivate relationships on an ongoing basis to drive measureable results (enrollments).
Provide accurate information, guidance and assistance to students on eligibility requirements, curriculum, the registration process and policies.
Assist prospects in identifying barriers to success and specific strategies to overcome those barriers.
Implement and stick to a contact strategy by prioritizing leads.
Keep up with current trends in higher education as they relate to recruitment, advising and retention of adult/non-traditional learners.
Ensure certificate program applicants successfully convert from applicant to enrolled student.
Assist students in preparing for their program by discussing time commitment and course expectations.
Address student concerns or issues throughout the first two weeks of the program and ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student.
Ensure student integrates smoothly into school community.
Accurately account for all inquiries in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Manage prospect pipeline in CRM.
Maintain extensive knowledge of business processes and procedures.
Participate in departmental and team meetings, including planning efforts focused on advising, recruitment and retention.
Provide mentoring and training to new team members.
| Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Communications, Social Sciences, Psychology, Business or other related subject area. |
Minimum 3-5 years' proven experience in consultative sales, consumer sales, admissions, or recruiting.
Exceptional closing skills while remaining welcoming, understanding, and empathetic.
Proven ability to think on your feet, try new approaches, and bounce back when things don't go as planned.
Ability to tie an individual's wants and needs into a logical solution.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence others internally and externally.
Ability to meet challenging timelines and work in a fast-paced environment.
Display an organized and results-oriented approach, and motivation to perform without extensive direction.
Confidence pitching in both one-to-one and one-to-many situations.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

5-7 years' proven experience in consultative sales, consumer sales, admissions or recruiting.
Experience with higher education recruitment.
