The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is looking for a
Temporary, Part-Time Research Study Assistant (RSA). The RSA will assist
with the day-to-day administration of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded
research study focused on stepped collaborative care and intervention for PTSD and
other comorbid conditions for patients admitted to trauma centers.
The Research Study Assistant position will include the following research
1) Assist the clinical intervention team in data collection and review. Support
the intervention team during clinical meetings and supervision.
2) Copy, edit and assist in the preparation of manuscripts, presentations,
reports and grants submissions, including text and tables/figures.
3) Conduct literature reviews.
4) Draft and copy edit various professional correspondences.
5) Assist the team's regulatory specialist in drafting/editing IRB
application/modification content, filing IRB communications and approval letters,
creating and maintaining tracking databases for invoices and site-specific data,
drafting email communications, and filing regulatory paperwork.
6) Enter data, and ensure data quality using SPSS and Excel. May prepare
summary narrative reports, graphs, tables, charts and illustrations. Maintain
confidentiality of participant records.
7) Assist in consenting, scheduling, tracking, and paying research participants
through telephone and email communication.
8) Assist with administrative duties including scheduling meetings, planning
travel, reimbursing expenses, and filing paperwork.
9) Communicate daily with project personnel. Notify appropriate research
personnel regarding problems or complications reported by participants or sites.
Attend regular project meetings, supervision, and work collaboratively with staff.
10) Coding qualitative human subject data and standardized patient data
interviews for quality assessment.
11) Perform other related duties as assigned/required.

| Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience, |
| Bachelor's degree in a related academic area AND one year of work experience, |
Experience on a research team.
Computer skills with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and SPSS.
