The individual ensures that the department of Spiritual Care functions as the optimal expression of the religious and spiritual character of the organization to the organization and to the care of its patients. This optimal functioning is carried out through the goals of the department and the fullness of the staff and clinical pastoral residents. Specifically this individual manages the Spiritual Care Department and supervises the Clinical Pastoral Education Department. Relationally, the position is a key partnership with the Group VP of Mission Integration, area clergy and the Centura office of Mission and Ministry.
- Master Degree-Theology or related field
- Current supervisory certification with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE)
- Knowledge of and role model to the values of Centura
Work Experience Requirements
- Exhibits understanding of the mission and ministry of the church as espoused in the life of Christ.
- Solid standing within the community and his/her own church.
- Three years of healthcare leadership experience.
- Five years of active ministry in church or healthcare setting.
- Exhibits a strong maturity for leading change and a collaborative style of management.
Certified as an active supervisor with the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education
