North American Credit Cards and Merchant Services (NACC&MS) organization was formed in Fall 2011 and brings together the credit cards and merchant services businesses in Canada and the US. TD's credit card products are distributed through the retail distribution network in the U.S. and Canada; on a national basis in Canada leveraging direct response channels; and, through hundreds of partnership programs with financial institutions, retailers, non-profit organization, sports teams, and other third party organizations. In addition, TD offers private label financing in the U.S. and Canada. With the acquisition of the MBNA portfolio in 2011, TD's credit card business is now ranked among the largest in Canada and among the top 10 in North America based on loans outstanding. The Quality Assurance Analyst III is responsible for ensuring overall service and/or department quality standards are met in support of our Strategic Card Partnerships.
Promote compliance awareness within the business and support a culture of compliance
Establish and maintain relationships with key business line and functional stakeholders
Assess business line processes to evaluate compliance risk and control environments
Evaluate the adequacy of business policies, procedures, and reference materials, system and manual processes with respect to regulatory requirements
Plan, execute and analyze regulatory testing results to identify trends/anomalies, provide feedback, and suggestions on potential process enhancements to improve business unit compliance
Ensure that compliance issues are brought are escalated and monitor business action plans to ensure timely remediation
Maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and assist in identifying significant compliance risks
Promote a risk-aware culture; ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and practices
Ability to create and execute testing plans with a focus on regulatory testing
Ensure adherence to set quality standards
Coordinate projects, training & activities
Provide leadership and direction to less experienced staff
Coordinate and execute projects to attain company and/or department objectives
Identify opportunities for process improvements to advance service quality and/or streamline functions
Recommend and implement department training needs
Maintain and develop expert knowledge of company and/or department systems, assist with system implementation/conversion as needed
Coordinate quality control and/or compliance activities
Create manuals, reports and documents and make updates as needed
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
Develop, recommend, facilitate and/or coordinate Employee training
Monitor Employee and/or division performance to ensure compliance with department and/or company standards
5+ years related experience
Background in US Regulations - specific to credit cards
Experience working with TSYS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven time management and organizational skills
Strong computer skills
Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible evenings and weekends
Proven problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work as an active participant in a team as well as independently
