The University of Florida College of Medicine and Sacred Heart Health System are seeking a Program Director to lead a fully accredited pediatrics residency training program.
The candidate must be board certified in pediatrics, meet the requirements for Maintenance of Certification in pediatrics or a subspecialty of pediatrics through the ABP, and have at least 3 years of educational and administrative experience within a residency training program.
The program has 27 residents and emphasizes both primary and subspecialty care experiences, quality care initiatives, mentorship, and developing well-rounded advocates for children's health issues. The program is located in Pensacola, Florida which is a thriving and dynamic beach community.
The Studer Family Children's Hospital at Sacred Heart is Northwest Florida's only children's hospital and the Sacred Hearth Health System is currently constructing a new six-story children's hospital due to be completed in late 2018. The University of Florida is the sponsoring GME institution for the program and a University of Florida faculty appointment will be given commensurate with experience.
