The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for understanding Customer Support and Maintenance Applications, Business Strategies, Business Processes and Associated Data.
The Business Systems Analyst must possess the ability to translate business needs into technology based solutions, while leveraging standard approved technology tools within the Rockwell Automation toolset. The Business Systems analyst will lead small projects and project teams.
The Business Systems Analyst will work as a member of the applications technology team within the Rockwell Automation Customer Support & Maintenance Business Unit and will be responsible for light application development, applications support and business support across a broad portfolio of applications and business processes.
The Business Systems Analyst will act as the primary point of contact for the Customer Support and Maintenance processes enabled within the SharePoint, Quickbase, and MS Access architectures and must liaise with Rockwell Automation IT to ensure compliance to corporate security and technology standards. Depending upon project demand, the business systems analyst may engage in SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI/Analytics projects.
The Business Systems Analyst will be involved in processes to align business strategy with the business unit technology roadmap and associated projects.
Bachelors in Computer Science, Business Management, or related field. MBA a plus.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of IT and/or business technical work experience with exposure to various technical environments.
Experience in SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics ERP/CRM solutions.
Familiarity implementing solutions within the Microsoft Stack(Power BI, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Access, SharePoint).
Small scale application development experience, leveraging SAAS workflow/application development engines such as Quickbase.
Proven track record of leveraging a diverse set of existing and new technologies to meet business needs.
Understanding of post sales service and support business model and functions.
Project management and/or virtual team leadership skills.
Ability to interact with business stakeholders to define problem statements, business cases, requirements definition, estimates, solutions and implementation/deployment of agreed upon solutions.
Demonstrated success in communicating with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to balance competing requirements and interests, keep focus on top priorities, and find ways to achieve win-win or obtain acceptance/consensus for best compromise.
Professional Certifications a plus (PMI, CBA, Lean Six Sigma etc)
