Under direction of the Corporate Affiliates Program Director, the Corporate Engagement Research Analysts oversees the research, management, and analysis of corporate client intelligence for the Jacobs School of Engineering.
The incumbent will research, compile, and analyze corporate client data collected from a multitude of sources for the purposes of generating reports, presentations, and company profiles. Responsible for maintaining detailed databases containing potential and current corporate partner information. Disseminates business and technical content tailored to specific audiences to department and external clients.
Streamline corporate industry contact information and business intelligence across the Jacobs School to maximize the potential for increased investment from industry in the Jacobs School of Engineering. Coordinate routine interactions with industry, which includes but is not limited to sponsored programs, research collaborations, business contracts, proactive outreach, collaborative proposals, and licensing requests. Collaborate with Business Development officers and Dean's office staff within the Jacobs School of Engineering.
Fosters and manages strategic corporate relations initiatives by managing data and assets of the university, producing benchmarking intelligence on comparable or competitive positioning, conducting industry analyses and making recommendations to Corporate Affiliates and Agile Center senior staff. Will collaborate across Industry Engagement Programming, under the direction of the Jacobs School Corporate Relations Leadership, with various campus-wide offices including Advancement/Development, OCGA/Tech Transfer/ORA and others as necessary to support the mission and goals of Jacobs School corporate relations strategies.
May also interface with deans, faculty, program directors and/or other University leaders to prepare them for industry technology research visits and proposals.
- May be required to work occasional night and weekend.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of relational database management including SQL and MS Access.
Substantial experience developing and maintaining database systems using appropriate software applications in order to conduct data analytics, e.g, perform statistical sampling, data mining, statistical analyses, correlational studies, etc. and provide summarization of data report and make recommendations.
Demonstrated experience developing a variety of data and written reports, presentations, and other documents.
Proven experience in reviewing data and reports pertaining to resource management and decision analysis and conveying information in a useful manner to determine areas of improvement.
Proven experience in project management/planning and team facilitation. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with competing and changing deadlines.
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of using computer software applications including but not limited to: CRM Solutions, Salesforce, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Word.
Excellent written communications skills. Ability to communicate well verbally with both individuals and groups.
Demonstrated customer service/interpersonal skills, including mature judgment, diplomacy, tact and patience.
Demonstrated strong analytic, inductive and deductive skills. Demonstrated ability to act on own initiative and exercise independent judgment.
Graduation from college with a major in business administration, economics, statistics, educational administration, political science, or an allied field, and two (2) years of experience in administrative analysis or operations research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
