They are an experienced community builder and strategic thinker. This individual is prepared and excited to be a leader in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment with a small, dynamic team.
The Associate Director of National Outreach and Community Building will actively nurture the emerging community of learner-centered education pioneers working to create the conditions for learner-centered environments to thrive. They will seek to accelerate the movement by making the field of learner-centered education visible to the people in it and others, building relationships among pioneers who wouldn’t otherwise know each other, and creating opportunities for those interested to share a language and lens that will dramatically improve their ability to work together. In partnership with the Education Reimagined Executive Director and team, the Associate Director will be responsible for conducting outreach to, gathering learnings from, and mapping the national and regional players in the learner-centered field. They will be listening for what conversations could make a difference to the field and identifying opportunities to accelerate the movement through shared language. As topics emerge as important to the field, they will be responsible for finding and enrolling attendees, supporting the design of the gatherings in partnership with the team and program leaders, and coordinating and executing pre- and post-event activities. The Associate Director will also represent Education Reimagined in national collaborations, speak at conferences and events, and amplify the great work of pioneers from across the country.
As resources allow and demand for our work requires, this role will entail building and leading a small team of new staff members, interns, and consultants.
