Lead library staff in providing support for language and literature study and scholarship in the University. Serve as primary liaison to the College of Arts & Sciences and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences Departments of English, World Languages & Literatures, including comparative literature, and Romance Studies, including linguistics. Provide library instruction, research, and consultative services for faculty and students in the discovery, evaluation, and organization of scholarly resources as both specialist and generalist collaborating in a team environment. Develop and maintain web-based materials to support these library services. Manage library collections for World Languages & Literatures and Romance Studies.
Salary: Grade 41
Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution or equivalent. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse populations of faculty, staff, and students. Demonstrated expertise using web technologies for accessing and creating resources. A degree in or one or more years of experience working in English literature, comparative literature, linguistics, or another language strongly preferred.
