Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Financial Analyst (Grants and Contracts) position for the Finance department at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The Financial Analyst provides research-specific support and manages new faculties grant and contracts including various budget and finance functions related to restricted accounts. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Prepares federal and non-federal grants including Foundation accounting as it relates to budget preparation and post administration process.
Assists Principal Investigators in the development of all grant budgets and communication with granting agencies.
Provides analysis and review of revenues and expenses for all grants and contracts.
Home Location Campus: Downtown New Brunswick
Experience in the maintenance and review of budgetary records, particularly University Foundation Management experience with accounting systems and SQL reporting services in healthcare setting, budget development, variance analysis is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge in preparing and maintaining budgets and post administration specifically related to federal and non-federal sponsored programs required.
Effective oral and communication skills required.
Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
