The Patient Accounts Department is seeking an experienced Manager to oversee the Inpatient operations department, which includes two supervisors and 17 non-exempt staff members who perform various Inpatient and Outpatient account functions.
As the Manager, Patient Accounts, you will:
Serve as a resource to staff at all levels throughout MSK on all Patient Revenue matters.
Manage operational activities in multiple functional areas within the Patient Accounts Division.
Analyze operations and systems usage; provide direction on and participate in the resolution of hospital accounts; and implement process improvements.
Collaborate with other Patient Revenue staff, within and outside of Patient Accounts, on process improvement projects to collectively come up with enhanced workflow methods that ultimately ensure excellent patient service.
Work with the management and administrative staff to ensure consistency and efficiency throughout the department and also with the outside business partners that work MSK outsourced accounts.
Prepare and monitor the cost center budgets—staffing/salary, supplies and equipment, and capital.
Skilled at building teams where team members apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
Effective at building formal and informal networks inside and outside the organization to further departmental and institutional goals.
Eager to foster talent and support people in meeting their career goals and the organization’s goals.

A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience.
