Primary Responsibility The incumbent is responsible to ensure that only well understood securities can be given leverage as collateral. This role involves conducting regular review as well as an understanding of the underlying risk of each product.
Ensure that only eligible marketable securities are granted leverage through security acceptance process.
To conduct regular review of marketable securities in which leverage were granted.
To review exception request from front office and provide recommendation through understanding and examination of inherent portfolio risk.
To handle general stress testing and specific stress testing and understand the impact and implications to the bank's collateral portfolio.
Perform risk analysis on various asset classes to propose margin requirements on derivatives
To conduct review on existing margin methodology and propose changes where necessary.
To handle enquires from various stakeholders such as front office, credit and operations.
Lead/Participate in various risk initiatives, projects, and UAT. To present findings and proposal to senior management.
Up to 5-10 years working experience with at least 2 years in private banking environment. Market Risk or Credit Risk experience preferred.
Strong working experience in marketable securities such as fixed income, equity and derivatives.
Understanding on derivative pricing models, their assumptions and restrictions.
Able to read and understand corporate balance sheet and the implication of various financial ratios such as free cash flows etc.
Hands on working knowledge in relational database such as MySQL and MS Access databases.
Advanced skills in using Excel.
Team player, meticulous, eye for detail, quick learner.
University degree (preferably in Engineering/Science or Finance/Accounting/Economics)
