The Department of Biostatistics has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time (50%) position in the Collaborative Health Studies Coordinating Center (CHSCC).
Administrative Support for Payroll and HR
Under the direction of the CHSCC Administrator this position will prepare payroll updates for CHSCC and CTC/ROC for each pay period according to a set schedule and with attention to the deadlines set by the Biostatistics Department fiscal staff. After reviewing necessary updates with the CHSCC Administrator will then communicate the changes to the individual designated by Biostatistics for entry into OPUS (eventually Workday) using a standardized method. This will involve use of advanced Excel tools and a high level of personal discretion and professionalism.
Provides Administrative Support to the CHSCC Administrator:
Support the CHSCC Administrator in a variety of administrative activities at CHSCC including but not restricted to semi-annual inventory, processing of invoices, assistance with monthly grant budget reports, effort certification documentation, and other duties as needed. Serve as a member of the CHSCC Admin Team providing light administrative and reception duties.
Program coordination for Cardiovascular Health Study (CHS): Under the direction of the PI of the CHS study (or designate), will provide support for the new CHS grant team on a limited basis including but not restricted to the following activities:
Maintain existing filing system of all events materials based on Participant ID, including electronic, paper and film filing and tracking systems
If an Adjudication is added, data enter new events when they arrive from study sites.
Use the Events Systems computer applications to identify and track events needing death classification.

High School graduation or equivalent AND four years of progressively responsible experience in office, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work OR equivalent education/experience.
Extreme attention to detail. Must be able to meet ongoing deadlines reliably.
Multi-tasking. Must be able to keep track of several different projects simultaneously, as well as keep in mind many details about the tasks being performed
Mid-to-Advanced knowledge of Excel. Must be able to: - Add new information into existing workbooks in the same style and format - Manipulate data within the existing workbooks (copy, paste, format, etc) - Use Data functions as integrated into current set of tools for budget and payroll reconciliation reporting.
Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate with on-site staff, off-site scientists, off-site clinic staff, and meeting planner by phone and email.
Training in and/or knowledge of HIPPA Compliance
Familiarity or understanding of Grant and Contract budgets and cost standards
Familiarity or experience working with Medical Records and/or Medical Record Terminology
