The senior Associate / Vice President will serve as a primary member of the metals and mining coverage team. The individual will have a key role in the execution and marketing of M&A, Equity and Financing transactions. The individual will have direct responsibility for extensive interaction with clients. In this capacity, one must have the corporate finance and accounting skills, understand industry fundamentals, anticipate client needs, and leverage the team's resources to anticipate new business opportunities. The balance between leveraging internal technical/product expertise and external relationship building is the essence of the position.
Responsibilities Participate in marketing and execution of M&A, Equity & Financing transactions in the metals & mining sector across Australia
Participate in substantial day-to-day client contact and client servicing.
Work independently, producing high quality work by totally leveraging and accessing the Firm.
Continue to round out product and technical training for team members
Demonstrate skills that will produce revenues for the Firm while gaining a broad understanding of how the Firm can derive revenues from each particular situation.
Requirements At least 5 years relevant transaction and/or sector experience
Very strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills.
Strong client service ethic - ability to comfortably interact with business clients and management.
Excellent technology skills. .
Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive.
Energetic and decisive, with high level of integrity.
