This position will work on improving the quantity and quality of the data in ALFRED, a publically accessible database of Allele Frequency Data. The database already contains over 40 million tables of allele frequencies with documentation of the molecular nature of the polymorphism and the specific population studied. All data are connected to the publication or source laboratory. Additionally, will organize and prepare for entry into the ALFRED system the material on new data. As necessary, the person will work with team member to find information that is missing from full documentation of allele frequency data. Entering necessary information and proofing the data once entered will be significant aspects of the position.
