Nursing Resources is looking for experienced Registered Nurses III with experience in Critical Care Float. Summary of Essential Job Duties: Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has an immediate opening for a Career Float CN III - with prior experience in AMBULATORY Nursing. The Nursing Resources Division utilizes Career Float Staff to supplement staffing throughout the Medical Center based on need. As a member of the Career Float team, you will enjoy the opportunity to work in a variety of specialty settings while also being a vital team member of the Nursing Resources home department. Career Float RN's assume responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and direct/ indirect delivery of patient care. Career Floats consistently demonstrate professional skills and abilities, utilize his/her knowledge base and proficient skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person. As a Career Float CN III, you are expected to demonstrate motivation, creativity and serve as a catalyst for effective changes within the Nursing at the unit, division, and organizational levels. CNIII's apply clinical knowledge regarding standard patterns of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings. Assume responsibility for patient advocacy, patient rights and meeting customer's expectations. Maintain competency skills including the ability to interact with customers with diverse cultural backgrounds. Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities License/Certification/Registration Requirements: -Current and Active California State RN License required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing – strongly preferred -BCLS and ACLS certification required -PALS certification required for RNs floated to certain designated units -Certification/License: Specialty Certification required Experience: -3 years or more RN acute care experience required AND experience in three or more nursing specialty areas. -Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned clinical nurse level and specialties -Working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice. -Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in customer service and an able to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues. Outstanding communication skills, professionalism and adaptability. -Full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Min.
