Under general supervision job supports departmental research programs and/or clinical trials with study data collection and organization through the process of recruiting and coordinating activities for multiple studies. The range of duties includes, but is not limited to: patient recruitment/ interviews, data collection, data entry, merge and manipulate collected information, database management, create and run queries from various databases, edit and write programs to automate routine functions, and communicating with team members on the status of project(s).
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
General knowledge of the research and applies basic analytical skills to administer assigned projects, and to identify situations requiring special attention.
Collect data from patient medical records and questionnaires, prepare and code data entry, enter and maintain databases. Monitors data quality and accuracy as required by research protocol
Organize and prepare mailing packets for mass mailings. Ensure that case files and accompanying paperwork are organized and current. Adheres to Clinical Operations Group Service Standards (attached addendum).
Provide patients with technical support of research study website and answer patient questions related to research studies.
Assist in maintenance of several Access and SQL Server databases including creating complex queries, writing programming code to improve efficiency and validity of routine functions, and performing quality control checks.
Assemble, de-identify, and prepare data from large Master database for various research projects
