Reporting to the Associate Director Finance, the Financial Manger will partner with operations leadership teams and support all aspects of operations finance including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, capital planning, labor efficiency analysis, and pro forma modeling of strategic initiatives across Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The Financial Manager should keep watch on the financial horizon and sound the alarm on financials risks prior to crisis status. Key to this position is the ability to develop and present actionable intelligence to finance and operations leadership teams.
Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Healthcare Management
Minimum of 5 yearsâ relevant experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment
Background in FP&A or Operations Finance
Excellent communication in both written and oral
Advanced skill level in data manipulation, modeling, and analytics using Excel.
Experience with advanced data manipulation and analytic techniques using Hyperion/Essbase, Access, SQL or VBA.
Experience as a Hyperion Planning super-user.
Experience building labor efficiency/optimization models.
Experience as a Business Objects report writer
