The Michigan City Animal Hospital, in Michigan City, IN, is a busy full service, AAHA accredited, small animal hospital located on the shores of Lake Michigan one hour east of Chicago. Our staff consists of twenty members including three veterinarians, four Registered Veterinary Technicians and a full time Practice Manager.
We have an excellent 65+ year reputation in the community and use the most up-to-date techniques in diagnosing and treating small animals including laser and laparoscopic surgery, digital radiology, ultrasound, therapy laser, acupuncture, in-house laboratory, well stocked pharmacy and all up to date necessities for inpatient care. Our 12,000 sq. ft. facility enables us to provide for the various patients we care for on a daily basis. In addition we have a specials procedure room with chemotherapy hood and a large surgery suite. We also treat the animals at the local Washington Park Zoo and the surrounding police K9 officers.
Michigan City is a town of approximately 35,000 people on the shores of Lake Michigan just east of Chicago. It has beautiful residential areas along the lake and a great deal of recreational activities associated with Lake Michigan. Because we are only an hour’s drive from Chicago there is easy access to the cultural and social scene of a world-class city while still living in a safe friendly “small town” atmosphere.
