Reporting to the Associate CTO within Harvard University IT, the Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that various work streams deriving from the Services and Technology and Security workgroup are planned, executed, and managed according to specification and program timelines. The position is also accountable for planning work related to non-HUIT migrating applications and decommissioning the 60 Ox. St. data center.
The Senior Technical Project Manager will be accountable for working across organizational boundaries to create proposals, plans and schedules for implementation efforts that stem for the cloud architectural roadmap and decommissioning plan. He/she will assist HUIT service owners project planning and with operationalizing new tools and products in order to meet the timelines needed to successfully transition on premise workloads to the cloud. He/she will provide weekly updates and present regularly at the Services and Technology Workgroup on key project work needed to successfully support cloud migrations, project work, and decommissioning efforts.
Key Position Details:
Participate in the Services and Technology & Security workgroups as part of the program structure
Convene stakeholders and work collaboratively to define and document requirements for solutions
Participate in research and present analysis of proposals
Provide project management support to the ITS CSI team to ensure that supporting operational projects including but not limited replacing the Maestro scheduler and/or establishing centralized configuration management
Provide project management support to decommissioning effort and relocating non-HUIT customers to the cloud and/or Summer St.
Work with Cloud Program Coordination team to report status, progress, issues, and risks related to the operationalization of the key projects
