TheInstitute for Global Health's, Center for Vaccine Development (CVD) at the Universityof Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting for a Research Associate to join theirrapidly expanding, multidisciplinary vaccine research program. The CVD is a well-funded research enterprisethat encompasses the full range of vaccinology, with highly successful programsin vaccine-preventable disease epidemiology and pathogenesis, vaccineimmunology, vaccine development, clinical trials, and population-based fieldstudies.
Thisopening provides the exciting opportunity for an epidemiologist to join a collaborativeand accomplished research team to understand the most effective and efficientstrategies for control of vaccine-preventable diseases. This will include re-analysis of data fromclinical trials and field studies to better understand the waning of vaccineeffectiveness, and the utility of booster doses, schedule changes, orcombination vaccines to optimize vaccine performance. . The integration of clinical researchscientists with epidemiologists and basic scientists provides a richenvironment to expand or develop an independent research program invaccinology. The faculty appointment will be at the rank ofResearch Associate, non-tenure track, commensurate with experience and based onguidelines for faculty appointment at the University of Maryland, School ofMedicine. This is a full-time faculty position, based in Baltimore.
