Title: Recruiter - Diversity and InclusionDepartment: Human ResourcesCampus: QueensJob Summary:This position will be responsible for guiding the process of attracting diverse talent to the University which will include cultivating external partnerships and participating in key industry events. They will effectively manage the University hiring needs and provide the Academic Sector with a dedicated resource who will develop partnerships across the organization to build and execute the SJU recruitment strategy.Responsibilities: Expand candidate sourcing and outreach Enhance recruitment brand visibility Educate hiring Managers on effective interviewing and selection practices with an emphasis on diversity and inclusivity Recruit for a variety of positions including staff, administrator and senior positions, those with complex recruitment needs and/or special initiatives where multiple positions are needed Develop referral sources and relationships with a variety of community organizations and associations to attract and maintain a high quality and diverse applicant flow Develop/maintain relationships with leaders and managers in the University to provide insight and assistance in all aspects of recruitment (e.g. sourcing, selection, preparing offers, etc.) including faculty advertising with Chairpersons' Maintain recruitment metrics to measure efficiency/success Participate in onboarding processQualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years experience in recruiting function with specific diversity and inclusivity track record Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing Experience working in a client centric environment/higher education a plus Knowledgeable in diversity recruitment and HR compliance Strong client management skills Technology proficient and able to oversee an automation project/processI understand that any offer of employment is subject to receipt by St. John's University of satisfactory references, verification of employment and education.St. John's offers a competitive compensation program which is commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and contingent upon the departmental budget.
