Maine Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking a Registered Nurse, located in Westbrook, ME. Be an integral TEAM member of a DYNAMIC MULTIDISCIPLINARY staff providing state of the art inpatient psychiatric services to children and adolescents. Our EVIDENCED BASED practices include DBT, Trauma informed care and co-occurring treatment that are delivered in a caring and supportive treatment environment where teamwork is highly valued.
We are currently accepting applications for Registered Nurses at Spring Harbor Hospital to work with this special population. The staff is responsible for evaluating patients on multiple fronts; biophysical, psychosocial, educational and discharge planning. The RN participates in the formulation of a priority based multidisciplinary treatment plan unique to each patient. The RN delegates and directs staff in maintaining a developmentally appropriate, structured and safe therapeutic milieu.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
- Knowledge of bio-psychosocial assessments required.
- Licensed as a registered professional nurse by the Maine State Board of Nursing required.
- 1+ year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of counseling theory, physical and psychological effects of mental illness and substance abuse preferred.
