To assist the Head of Compliance, Retail Banking / Director, Compliance, Retail Banking to provides advice, guidance and best practice awareness and training to in country Retail Banking internal stakeholders
Responsible to provide compliance support to Retail Banking business mainly on insurance licensing (and to assist MPF registration) and their support units to establish appropriate policies, manuals and procedures for their operations with due regard to all applicable Group requirements and local regulatory requirements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
To arrange and ensure the required CPD training are complied by insurance agents, responsible officers and technical representatives. Liaison /coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
To regulate licensing and registration issues for insurance business Responsible Officers and Technical Representatives
To provide compliance advice and support to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. Major duties include review of various documentation relating to insurance licensing and CPD, handling various requests by regulators (mainly HKFI, HKMA and SFC), and review on clients' complaints.
To coordinate and handle any review / survey / exam / complaint etc received from the regulators or government bodies
Qualifications and Skills
At least 3 years relevant compliance and/ or regulatory experience in retail banking. Familiar with relevant regulatory requirements on insurance licensing and related CPD is needed.
Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to banks, in particular those relating to the consumer banking business.
Effective communications skills (written and spoken)
