Anatomic Pathologist with Clinical Informatics Experience

The Department of Pathology, VCU School of Medicine/VCU Health is seeking a full time faculty member in the Division of Anatomic Pathology with interest and/or expertise in clinical and visual informatics. This faculty position consists of an approximately 50/50 split between clinical service and informatics responsibilities. The successful candidate will have board certification in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with board certification or eligibility in Neuropathology. An interest and or expertise in ophthalmologic pathology is also desired. The successful candidate will be expected to develop expertise in clinical and visual informatics working closely with IT leadership in the department of pathology. Clinical service duties will include sign out in surgical pathology and neuropathology. This individual will also instruct medical students and participate in the training of pathology residents and fellows. Preference will be given to candidates with clinical expertise and an interest/or ability in research and scholarly activity displayed through publication in professional journals and presentations at national meetings. The candidate must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
