Develops, articulates, and presents the vision for the division in collaboration with department chairs and program coordinators. Translates vision into strategic goals and advances the College mission in accordance with the strategic planning objectives.
Assists the Campus Chief Academic Officer (CCAO) in providing curricular leadership in relation to college-wide goals by initiating, sustaining, delivering, or eliminating academic programs and core curricula in accordance with strategic planning goals. Supervises the department chair faculty and program coordinator in the construction of class schedules based on student and program needs.
Leads and coordinates assessment activities to document and advance division and College activities, initiatives and development.
Leads and coordinates assigned district-wide initiatives.
Facilitates the resolution of disagreement or conflict among stakeholders.
Ensures the academic quality of special programs assigned to the College.
Manages all fiscal matters at division level within given budget limitations.
Conducts evaluation of faculty and staff.
Works with department chairs, faculty liaisons, and the CCAO to create and facilitate dual credit/dual enrollment opportunities, including identifying opportunities for new partnerships and ensuring compliance at all levels.
Collects, analyzes, and utilizes data for continuous program improvement.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge in higher education leadership.
In collaboration with the CCAO, establishes community partnerships that align with the mission and strategic initiatives of the College. Represents the division and the College to students, parents, professional organizations, articulation partners, business, and industry in cooperation with Marketing and Communication.
Communicates information effectively to both supervisors and supervisees.
Other duties as assigned.
Earned master's degree from a regionally accredited institution required. Five (5) years of full time experience in higher education including significant teaching experience.
Terminal degree, progressively responsible administrative experience, and community college experience preferred.

Under the direction of the Campus Chief Academic Officer (CCAO), the dean has both the authority and responsibility for planning, budgeting, scheduling, personnel matters, curriculum, instruction, development, and other academic matters. The dean ensures division compliance with Board Policy, Administrative Procedures, and employee resolutions.
STLCC is searching for a highly innovative and student-centered individual to lead its district-wide Allied Health division, which will primarily be located at the Forest Park campus.
