Reporting to the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs, the Academic Affairs Assistant will provide administrative support for the academic affairs activities in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The Academic Affairs assistant will be the primary administrative contact and a key member of the academic affairs team.
The responsibilities of the Staff Assistant include, but are not limited to:
- Primary responsibility for the maintenance of student academic records and training grant data. - Assistance with admissions processing and recruitment, ongoing student services and activities, and department and school-wide exams - Provide course administration services to the team and individual faculty members - Planning and scheduling of events and meetings - Academic communications and correspondence - Providing task management and tracking of academic affairs priorities - Drafting, proof-reading, and editing documents

3+ years of related experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Bachelor's degree preferred. - Experience in higher education preferred. - Attention to detail. - Experience with record keeping is a plus. - Prior experience with anticipating priorities and managing multiple projects and deadlines is desired. - Experience in and knowledge of working with highly confidential information preferred.
