Macquarie's Enterprise Technology Program & Infrastructure Delivery team is seeking a highly competent Infrastructure Project Manager to join a well-established and respected Project Managers team. This is an internal client facing role that requires depth of technical expertise, superior relationship management skills and IT business acumen in the equal measure. This role will specifically be responsible for Project Management of a number of Infrastructure streams.
The successful candidate will be involved in the development and be responsible for documentation of projects, project planning, scheduling, budgeting, issue and risk management throughout the project. The ideal candidate will also be managing business and technology stakeholders and provide team leadership to all project participants.
Significant Project Management experience in IT infrastructure design and deployment e.g. data centre, data and voice networks, desktop PC, storage and compute
Proven ability to Manage complex projects in an enterprise environment.
Excellent communication skills - will be dealing with, presenting to management, liaising with internal clients, coordinating technical staff etc
Strong vendor management skill
Significant experience in managing geographical remote and diverse time zone teams
Willingness to travel within Asia when a project requires
Ability to manage expectations - will need to understand the requirements of clients, expectations of project sponsors and the capabilities of technical staff and to manage these competing drivers to deliver a balanced solution
Ownership, pro-activity & drive - must take ownership for the success of the project, pro-actively identifying impediments & addressing them, motivating the team & resolving issues which impede their delivery i.e. have the ability to proactively navigate conflict and changing priorities
Be familiar with incident, problem and change management processes (ITIL-certified a plus)
Experience in office / data centre relocation
Finance industry experience would be an advantage.
Have a minimum of 5 years infrastructure Project Management experience, with PMP or PRINCE 2 certification highly desirable
