The Department of Pharmacology and Cell Biophysics at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine seeks a full-time faculty member in the Educator Specialist Pathway at the level of Assistant Professor or higher rank. (Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.) The Department offers two onsite graduate degree programs, a one-year MS program with emphasis on Safety Pharmacology (http://med.uc.edu/ms-in-pharmacology) and a PhD program (http://med.uc.edu/pharmacology-phd) in Molecular, Cellular and Biochemical Pharmacology.
Job Duties: The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to direct and teach pharmacology courses and co-lead the MS degree program. Leadership includes administration, student recruitment, maintain and establish new partnership with experts from pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations in delivering courses in drug development studies, and development of on-line courses.
Minimum Qualifications: A doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, DVM, MD, etc.) in pharmacology or a related discipline with teaching experience in pharmacology.
Desired Qualifications: Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge and skill in development of curricula, courses, etc., in pharmacology; familiarity with distance learning and online education; experience in recruiting, mentoring and advising students.
