Reporting to the Executive Director, the Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient, smooth, and professional operation of Shriver Hall Concert Series, with duties in concert production, sales, customer service, publications, promotion, fundraising, and office administration.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
—Organize all matters pertaining to event production including, but not limited to, stage set-up, instrument delivery, necessary equipment, and appropriate staffing.
—Coordinate production details for all SHCS events with JHU departments, outside vendors, and concert staff.
—Arrange and coordinate logistics of visiting artists, including, but not limited to, itinerary, lodging, and travel.
—Serve as primary problem-solver for production matters at all SHCS events.
Sales & Customer Service
—Manage the Box Office, including all aspects of subscription and single ticket sales, ticket exchanges, and CRM database updates and maintenance.
—Provide customer service to all patrons, including by phone, in person, and at events.
—Prepare regular CRM database reports and list segmentation for analysis, marketing, fundraising, accounting, and other purposes.
—Serve as Box Office representative for all events.
Publications & Promotion
—Write marketing copy and patron communications
—Collaborates in the creation and production of the season brochure, annual program book, and program inserts.
—Solicit and secure advertisements for the annual program book.
—Update and maintain website content, develop patron e-blasts, create social media posts, and contribute to digital strategy.
—Conduct student and general outreach.
—Process all donations and ensure accurate donor records and tracking.
—Provide administrative support for all donor campaigns.
—Write narratives and provide administrative support for all funding proposals and reports
—Participate in the research and identification of new government, corporate, foundation, and individual funding prospects.
—Provide administrative support for office and all SHCS-related activities
—Supervise student intern.
—Take Board and committee minutes.
—Perform other duties as assigned.
