Full-Time/Part-Time: Full Time
Assists students with post-secondary course selection, academic planning, financial aid counseling, financial literacy and transfer advising. Facilitates workshops and recruits students. Collaborates with campus departments to ensure student success. Maintains a caseload of students, monitors academic progress, and implements mid-semester evaluations. Develops programing to improve student retention. Helps train and supervise student workers, serves on committees related to academic advising and/or retention, monitors services and prepares reports as needed. Assists with the completion of overall TRIO Student Support Services grant goals and objectives.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and over three (3) years of relevant full-time experience.
Equivalent: must have a minimum of 90 credit hours and an additional two (2) years of relevant experience
Master’s degree in education, counseling or related field is preferred
Experience with retention, program development and student success initiatives
Experience in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting students served by the project
Previous experience working for TRIO Student Support Services or other TRIO programs
