The Financial Systems Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Financial Group’s computer applications. The Financial Systems Manager assists in the short-range and long-range financial application planning process. In addition, this individual will be the lead report writer as well as the primary liaison between Finance and IT.
Oversee the overall management and support of the Financial Group computer applications. Position is the subject matter expert on all financial applications. Applications include Elite Enterprise, business intelligence software, financial statement reporting software (FRx or equivalent), Whitehill, ARCs, IntApp Time, Chrome River, Excel and Access. Will make recommendations on and assist in coordinating all Financial Group application upgrades.
Report writing and development for financial reports including: bill templates, financial statement report writing and SQL report writing using SSRS.
Lead role in financial process review and documentation; creating efficiencies and incorporating best practices.
Primary liaison between software vendors and the Financial Group.
Primary liaison between the Financial Group and the IT Group.
Knowledge and Skills
In depth knowledge of financial software applications; preferably Elite Enterprise.
Expert knowledge of databases, SQL and business intelligence applications.
Adept report writing skills.
Effective verbal, writing and documentation skills.
Project planning and process review skills.
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and departments.
Strong customer service skills.
Key ability to multitask and prioritize activities.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required.
3-5 years of experience in similar field.
Law firm experience strongly preferred.
