Description The Tufts Career Center provides comprehensive career development assistance to undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni from Arts, Sciences and Engineering, and the SMFA at Tufts. We provide individual career advising, drop-in hours, online resources, workshops, graduate school advising, career and internship fairs, networking and presentations with alumni and employers, job and internship search assistance including online listings. The Tufts Career Center seeks an Associate Director, Employer Relations to join the professional staff to serve a diverse group of students. The Associate Director will lead a collaborative, fast paced, high performing, and innovative Employer Relations team to maintain and build on the Tufts University brand, including identifying, cultivating, and establishing new relationships with companies and organizations that do not have campus recruiting relationships Tufts with a particular focus on those recruiting students in non-STEM disciplines. Additionally, will be responsible for expanding relationships with existing corporate partners, to uncover opportunities for Tufts students and alumni and the University as a whole. The Associate Director will work closely with the Executive Director to broaden existing employer relationships both functionally and geographically.

Qualifications Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and five-seven years of experience in career services, college relations/university recruiting or related field
Professional demeanor, including tact and discretion, with a track record of establishing positive client relationships required
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative, creative thinking, and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work successfully in a fast paced environment required
Ability to analyze and present data.
Comfort with CRM systems and career platforms (Handshake, preferred)
Comfortable proactively reaching out to contacts, cold-calling company representatives, and establishing a relationship on behalf of Tufts University
Proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and a willingness and enthusiasm to learn internal systems and social media
Comfortable with ambiguity--knowing when to make decisions without complete information, knowing when to ask questions and when to engage other stakeholders Preferred Qualifications:
