Involves the development and implementation of the organization's information systems and tools that are applied to clinical information. Works closely with clinicians across all hospital / healthcare departments to optimize effective use of systems. Coordinates analytical support for health management, including profiling, health economics, and business analytics / performance metrics.
Defines systems and applications to support various functions. May provide customer service, troubleshooting and maintenance. Applies advanced professional clinical informatics concepts and extensive knowledge of industry practices to projects of all levels of scope and complexity.
Performs highly-complex quality assurance testing, designs and runs SQL (Structured Query Language) queries for enhanced and complex medical data access, and plans, develops, and writes documentation of design and deployment processes, workflows, and results. Performs objective and advanced level work in an innovative team dedicated to EPIC reporting for the enterprise.
An integral part in the development of the clinical and financial data for the Enterprise Data Warehouse and all reporting needs for the enterprise including but not limited to the outpatient and inpatient setting both clinical and financial supporting community affiliates and the clinically integrated network. Reporting will center around quality measures (e.g. HEDIS, PQRS, MSSP, etc.), utilization and total cost of care.
A Bachelor's Degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Five (5+) or more years of relevant experience.
Professional experience and proven success performing clinical workflows, user interface optimization, clinical decision support, rules development, data integration and mining, clinical ontologies and adoption of technology.
Clarity and Caboodle certifications or obtain them within six months of hire.
Quality measurements, utilization and total cost of care reporting experience.
In-depth knowledge of Epic EMR software and health system operations and workflow.
Must pass a background check.
Must pass physical, drug screen and TB test.
Must be able to work various hours & locations based on business needs.
