Minimum BA or BS, preferably with studies in music or arts administration and knowledge of symphonic repertoire.
5+ years of Operations experience within an arts organization, preferably an orchestra. Knowledge of stage lighting and audio (reinforcement, amplification, recording). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access). Familiarity of OPAS and VISIO a plus. Ability and eagerness to learn new software as required.
High degree of initiative and ability to establish and work within deadlines, while maintaining budgets and addressing challenges in a creative manner. Excellent critical thinking, prioritizing and problem solving skills.
Collaborator who thrives in a team environment and experienced manager who leads and mentors staff. Enthusiasm for live orchestral performances and commitment to creating an environment in which orchestra musicians, conductors and soloists meaningfully connect with audiences.
Superior organizational skills and strong written communication skills combined with the ability to handle multiple tasks with agility, thoroughness and good humor.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
