Summary of Duties:
The Coordinator for Residential International Student Programs assists with overall quality of the on-campus living experience for international students living in University Housing.
In consultation and collaboration with other OSU partners, oversees the transition, integration and development of all international students living on campus; identifies individual and group international student needs and assists in their resolution through individual resource guidance, educational and social programming and administrative support systems; encourages independence while providing students with structure and support; serves as a resource within Housing on multicultural educational issues and serves as a source of advocacy for global awareness for all students within the residential community; requires some week night and weekend and holiday hours to meet needs of students arriving during semester breaks.
Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; two years administrative and programmatic work experience; two years on-campus living experience; MS Office Suite, internet skills; availability over academic/holiday break periods; experience working or living with non-US citizens.
Experience living outside of U.S.; professional experience in international or cultural education or administration; fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
Target Salary: $17.79 - $21.63 Hourly
