Posting Summary: The Cardiovascular Division in the Department of Medicine is seeking a Research Computing Associate/Data Scientist. This position is in support of the large-scale collection of monitor data and advanced research computing at the University. Duties include developing automated processes to manage collection and processing of real-time data, archive data in formats accessible to researchers, and to facilitate data sharing with other hospitals and research groups.
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A minimum of one year related experience is required. Strong knowledge of MS Windows is required. Experience in bioinformatics, computational statistics, data analytics and/or signal processing is preferred. Experience with at least two of the following programming languages is preferred: C++, Python, R, Java, Modern Fortran, Matlab, Perl.
This position is restricted and contingent upon the continuation of funding.
