Ensure that the front office of the UCLA School of Dentistry AEGD Clinic operates efficiently. Perform general receptionist duties, check insurance eligibility, coordinate patient/dental resident flow, organize patient intake forms, scan and upload patient information, insurance ID and CA identification card or Drivers License and records into the electronic health record, patient appointments, pick up mail, sign off charges, scheduling appointments and confirm appointments, order office supplies, take inventory of front office supplies, cleaning, stocking the front desk and storage of patient records according to HIPPA guidelines.
Assist the AEGD Clinic Administrator with third party payments or patients of record. Resolve patient complaints, as required. Coordinate and manage Urgent Care/emergency coverage for AEGD WW and General Clinics in the UCLA School of Dentistry. Utilize dental software to schedule patient appointments and enter proper patient data and charges. Manage three scheduling books (Resident, Faculty and Hygiene). Maintain and manage all internal referrals and outside referrals. Record and track all new patients assigned to Residents and Faculty. Manage phone calls and redirect them as needed. Greet patients, provide information and answer questions. Perform other duties related to patient records. Provide information to patients to complete registration and consent forms and confirm address and insurance information

Demonstrated knowledge of front office requirements to adequately conduct periodic inventory and ordering of front desk/reception area supplies and equipment.
Demonstrated knowledge to function as the patient coordinator in the absence of the Clinic Administrator.
Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology and dental assisting duties.
