Reporting to the Assistant Registrar for Academic Planning, the Academic Planning Coordinator for Courses is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the FAS Course Catalog and Schedule of Classes. Serve as the main support contact for over 80 curriculum coordinators in the FAS academic departments and committees in creation and maintenance of their course offerings; Develop and execute comprehensive annual training plan and documentation for curriculum coordinators and other affiliates; Act as primary source of information related to FAS course policy; Support instructional staff in the course sectioning process, including training and troubleshooting sectioning issues; Create and execute queries necessary for auditing course information; Produce course-related reports for departments and other constituents; Liaise with Enrollment Services to troubleshoot enrollment issues related to course setup and update student records as necessary; Support the Harvard cross-registration process; Create and maintain course and sectioning related content on the FAS Registrar's website. This position also supports other departmental functions, such as examination management, classroom scheduling, faculty handbook maintenance, enrollment, and all other general duties of the Registrar's Office as needed.
Other responsibilities include: Working closely with the Assistant Registrar, Associate Registrar and other registrar staff; Collaborating with key FAS stakeholders; Streamlining operational procedures; Developing tools to increase efficiency and foster technological self-sufficiency; Delivering outstanding customer service.

3+ years of office or higher education registrar experience.
College degree strongly preferred; Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or other student information system; Working knowledge of Harvard's Faculty of Arts and Sciences; Excellent organizational skills with particular ability to prioritize work in an environment with multiple and conflicting interests; Technical aptitude and experience with query-based software, SQL, and/or relational databases such as Microsoft Access; Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; Demonstrated ability to work effectively both in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision; Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion; Strong background using Microsoft Office suite (including Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook); Commitment to high standard of customer service; Creative problem solving ability.
