Experience: 5 years experience in modeling population-based healthcare utilization such as physician demand, inpatient discharges and days, and outpatient services. 5 years experience with analytical software such as SPSS or SAS. 5 years experience with Microsoft Office products EXCEL or ACCESS or equivalent. Experience with healthcare utilization modeling software a plus.
Minimum required: 5 years each in modeling healthcare utilization; use of analytical software; use of Microsoft Office.
Preferred/desired: 7-10 years of analytical software experience. 1 year experience with software designed specifically to model healthcare utilization, such as Truven Healthcare Analytics. 1 year experience with mapping software such as Mapinfo is desirable. Experience using Census data.
Education: Doctorate in analytical field, such as mathematics, statistics, economics, marketing. Master’s plus 7 years analytical experience is an acceptable substitution. At least two courses in applied statistics.
Minimum required: Doctorate or master’s plus 7 years analytical experience. Two courses in applied statistics.
Preferred/desired: Doctorate in analytical field, such as mathematics, statistics, economics, marketing. One course in research methodology. Four courses in statistics.
