Position Summary: summary The Center on Contemporary China seeks a 10 hour/weekly part-time casual hourly employee to provide administrative, translation, and research support. Responsibilities include, but is not limited to: maintenance of the Center's website, mailing lists, and weekly email newsletter, including having knowledge of some graphic design and HTML coding; provide research support in Mandarin Chinese and English; assist with office renovations; and maintenance of Access Databases, including relational tables. Additional support will include assistance in logistics and announcements of seminars and special events, and providing support to international research operations and field research program, including coordination of visa requests, international travel arrangements, and all research and program logistics. Additional assistance with special projects may be assigned.
Essential Qualifications: Qualifications Required: Strong technical skills that include coding and database management in addition to knowledge and use of all the Microsoft Office Suite applications and Photoshop. Applicant must have a bachelor's degree and the ability to read and write Mandarin Chinese and to be able to translate the same into English.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred: Familiarity with Princeton University policies, procedures and systems, but must have the relevant technical skills.
