We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Software Packager.
In this role, the successful candidate The primary focuses on developing and engineering solutions that will advance the teams vision of asecure, stable, robust, and dynamic end user infrastructure that will support our existing business requirements, as well as easily scale to meet our future needs. Solid understanding of the engineering design process and the importance of automation, remote tools, teamwork, centralized overview management, incident (requests & interruptions) handling and the ITIL model in helping an organization achieve its strategic initiatives, produce more with rapidly growing demands, while operating at a lower TCO. Duties include build automation, application packaging, software deployment automation on Windows platforms. The position requires mentoring of team members and other technical support staff. Transition Management guidelines are expected to be followed to ensure proper hand off of packaged software, thus raising the effectiveness of solutions and staff using the tools. Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in problem solving and must have the know how to expertly apply a systematic approach for gathering & understanding requirements, troubleshooting problems. Level three problem escalation contact. Create design and support documentation as requested, as well as hands on demonstrations and instructions to Operations & Help Desk staff. Provide updates for project & task work, outages, trouble tickets, service requests and time entry. Escalate issues to supervisor or other groups as required. Perform related duties as assigned or requested. Works under general direction and may be required to work weekends and stay late as necessary.
- Application packaging as requested by the three business units of the medical center
- Monitors assigned queues in Front Range HEAT, taking ownership of incidents and Service Requests as appropriate
- Serve as level 3 support for packaged applications and UAT issues in Altiris for Application Owners
- Serves as liaison and support for offshore packaging resource.
- Other duties as assigned
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree and five years of relevant experience.
Extensive experience with Admin Studio; experience setting up policies in Altiris for software distribution
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
