Laboratory and greenhouse work, and field sample collection. Duties include preparing chemical solutions and microbiological media, maintaining plant pathogen cultures and plant material, conducting laboratory, growth chamber and greenhouse experiments with plant pathogens, data collection, data entry and summarization.
Conscientious and reliable; Familiarity with biology, chemistry, and plant care; Knowledge of microbiological laboratory techniques; Ability to work independently after initial instruction; Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel; Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the job (may require evening and weekend hours)
